A period of reflection around the topic of faith, belief and mental health – and what Quaker Faith and Practice offers to guide us*
What do we mean by Quaker faith? How often do we share what we mean? Or do we just assume it? Is faith really a matter of believing in a set of ideas and concepts, or is it about the experience of listening to the inner spirit?
Following a presentation by Mike and Andrew the Spiritual Sustenance Day is an opportunity, with the help of QF&P, for Friends to explore and share thoughts and reflections on what faith might mean to us as Quakers.
Bev will be taking the ‘faith within’ a further step by leading us in investigating and experiencing how Quaker Faith and Practice relates to Mental Health through listening to our inner response to particular passages, and to complete the day, in a period of reflection and worship.
*Friends are encouraged to bring their copies of Quaker Faith and Practice and other Quaker literature. Other suggestions include ‘God, Words and Us.’
