Quakernomics – an Ethical Capitalism

Mike King will be giving a talk on his new book ‘Quakernomics – An Ethical Capitalism’ at the Quaker Meeting House at 39 Fonnereau Road, Ipswich, IP1 3JH.

The talk will explore Quaker enterprises from C17th – C20th century as examples of ethical capitalism. In his talk Mike tests them against prominent economists and their concern for economic justice.

Mike offers Quakernomics as a model for corporate social responsibility in the modern world, and will explore Quaker businesses which combine commercial success with philanthropy and social activism.

The talk will be followed by questions and discussion.
