Open Elders
This meeting replaces the normal Wednesday Online Meeting For Worship for this week only.
How might we ‘build back better’?
Our next Open Elders’ Forum will be on Wednesday 23rd June, 7.30 – 8.30pm in our Zoom room. For over a year we have been challenged to experiment in maintaining our way of worship and our community. As restrictions are eased we are called to consider carefully the way forward. This meeting will be an opportunity to share and listen to each other. We invite you to spend some time in personal reflection, and offer the following questions.
If you are not able to attend, or if you find it easier to express your thoughts in writing, please feel free to email us in advance. It is helpful to know if you are happy for your contribution to be read out, if this seems helpful.
All members and attenders are welcome.
Questions for self-reflection to prepare for our Open Elders’ Forum
- The Covid crisis has posed many challenges for everyone. How has the experience changed you? How has it changed our LM community?
- As life gradually opens up again what are your hopes? What opportunities might we seize?
- There is still anxiety and uncertainty. What are your concerns?
- How might we continue to use Zoom constructively? To be more sustainable, inclusive and simpler in what we do?
- We trust that coming prepared to share our varied perspectives will help us move forward in reviewing current arrangements for meeting for worship and other aspects of our LM life.
