Metford poses a question
Silhouettes, samplers and pictures showing how we were in the early 19th century. A light hearted look into how we were nearly 200 years ago. Will our descendants also think that we were very earnest but perhaps a bit odd?
What use is our memorabilia? Does it teach us anything useful? Should it be kept, or quietly disposed of!? Metford Robson will help us to address these questions.
12.00-12.30 Sunday 26 March,
followed by a shared lunch.
PS to whet your appetite:
The silhouette above shows Joseph Metford and his son Samuel on their way to Claverham Meeting House in Somerset in about 1840. Samuel did all the silhouettes to be shown..
