Diarmaid MacCulloch – Silence – A Christian History

Diarmaid MacCulloch Kt will be talking about his recently published book Silence – A Christian History.  Diarmaid is Professor of the History of the Church at Oxford University, his previous books have won many prestigious awards, and his television series A History of Christianity and How God Made the English were highly acclaimed. He is a most entertaining speaker and well worth listening to.

After the talk, we will have a discussion of the Quaker tradition of silent worship in the wider context that he will have explained.
