Bruce Kent visits our Meeting
Veteran peace campaigner Bruce Kent visited us to talk about his tireless work with politicians, military leaders and international agencies to find peaceful resolutions to armed conflict. His short and lively talk was followed by an interesting exchange of questions and views.
The Meeting House was gratifyingly full, and a good collection was taken in aid of The Movement for the Abolition of War.
This event was sponsored by Bury St Edmunds Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) as part of national Quaker Week.
The picture shows Bruce Kent, Michael Akehurst (who chaired the meeting) and Kevin Mayhew (one of the organisers).
